Torino move for Andreolli

Torino claim they have an option to sign Internazionale starlet Marco Andreolli.

Torino claim they have an option to sign Internazionale starlet Marco Andreolli.

President Urbano Cairo confirmed the Serie A outfit were keen to secure the 20-year-old's signature during the transfer window.

However, Cairo admitted any move was subject to Inter releasing the full-back from his current long-term deal.

"We like him. The good relationship we have has given me an option to buy the player," said Cairo.

"But to secure him on loan in January will depend on the Nerazzurri's will."

Andreolli signed a new deal in October to keep him at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza until 2011.

But his agent Patrick Bastianelli recently confirmed Newcastle and Torino were among a host of clubs tracking the full-back, with the Premiership outfit favourites to sign the player.

However, Magpies boss Glenn Roeder rubbished the claims saying Andreolli was not on his list of targets.
