The Argentine ace joined Torino on loan for the rest of the season during the January transfer window and has impressed in Turin.
The Serie A strugglers are keen to make his stay permanent and have offered him a deal, but Marinelli wants his current terms improved if he is to stay with the Italian outfit.
Torino have offered Marinelli a two-year deal worth $350,000 (£222,000), but the 21-year-old is holding out for $500,000 (£318,000) which is $50,000 more than he is on at Middlesbrough.
"In Middlesbrough I was paid $450,000 per year, I want to sign a contract with Torino in the Serie B but for $500.000."
If Marinelli does not accept Torino's offer he will return to Middlesbrough.
