Euell to sign on deadline day

Jason Euell has told Sky Sports News he will sign for Middlesbrough on Thursday.

Charlton Athletic's Jason Euell has confirmed to Sky Sports News that he will sign for Middlesbrough on Thursday.

The Jamaican international has completed a medical at The Riverside and is ready to follow Wednesday's captures Jonathan Woodgate and Robert Huth in signing for Gareth Southgate's side.

Euell had grown frustrated with a lack of first-team opportunities at The Valley and is hoping to prove himself on Teesside after wrapping up his move on transfer deadline day.

"I'm coming back up tomorrow just to finalise everything tomorrow morning [Thursday]," Euell told Sky Sports News.

"Tomorrow morning hopefully, I'll be signed up and ready for the game next week.

"It's just to get back playing football again, that's the main thing, it's a big team with big fans, I'm just ready to get going now.

"It's part and parcel of football [being on the bench], but I've had enough time of sitting there waiting and I've got an opportunity to get back and start showing people what I can do."

Another player to arrive at The Riverside is young forward Danny Graham after his loan spell with Blackpool was brought to an end.
