Carlisle bring in Boro striker

Carlisle have signed Middlesbrough striker Danny Graham on loan until early February.

Carlisle United have signed Middlesbrough striker Danny Graham on loan until early February.

Graham has completed his temporary move to Brunton Park and could make his debut against Bradford City on New Year's Day, once the forms have been registered with the Football League.

The forward scored once in four appearances during a loan spell at Blackpool earlier this season and has already met up with his new Carlisle colleagues.

"I'm over here to get to meet the lads and do some training and, hopefully, will get involved at some point tomorrow," Graham told the club's official website.

"I've met some of the lads and I met the manager and some of the staff, so I'm just looking forward to getting on with it now.

"I've noticed the team is on the up and currently not far off the play-offs, so it was an easy move for me, one that I couldn't turn down."

Graham has made just one substitute appearance for Boro this season and spent spells on loan at Derby County and Leeds United last term.
