Chester boss Ian Rush has dismissed talk linking Danny Collins with a move away from The Deva Stadium.Sunderland and Sheffield United are both believed to be keen on the highly-rated defender.
Collins has impressed for Chester this season in their first year in League Two.
Rush is unaware of any interest in Collins and is set to speak to Chester chairman Stephen Vaughan about the rumours.
"I've had no contact from the clubs and our chairman Stephen Vaughan hasn't told me anything, but I'm due to speak him," said Rush.
