Blades to open talks with duo

Sheffield United are going to reopen talks with Paddy Kenny and Steve Kabba.

Sheffield United are going to reopen talks with Paddy Kenny and Steve Kabba.

Talks over new contracts for the players have failed so far, but Neil Warnock insists he wants the pair to commit their futures to the Championship leaders.

Warnock has taken his high-flying outfit on a team-building exercise in the Lake District, as the team have the next few days off due to the international calendar.

The United boss confirmed that new deals would be offered to both players within the next week.

"We'll be making them offers shortly, probably next week.

"Obviously this is something we want to get sorted out and we hope they'll agree to them.

"It was a good meeting and we spoke about lots of things. Both Paddy and Kabba (pictured) are important players and I want them to stay here. They know that."
