The 26-year-old has already attracted the interest of Championship rivals Norwich City, with Canaries boss Nigel Worthington making an enquiry for the goalscorer.
Leeds have now turned away the interest of their Yorkshire rivals The Blades for Hulse, with The Whites turning down a reported offer of £1.4 million for the striker.
As he prepares to take the Bramall Lane club back into The Premiership, manager Neil Warnock confirmed his interest in Hulse, but stated that his valuation of the player is not at a level shared by his Leeds counterpart Kevin Blackwell.
"I have spoken to Kevin Blackwell and he knows my valuation of the player," Warnock told the Yorkshire Post.
"We made an offer but Kevin's value is a lot higher than that.
"We are still interested but things are on hold."
