Stoke want Chadwick talks

Stoke are hoping to retain West Ham winger Luke Chadwick until the end of the season.

Stoke City are hoping to retain West Ham United winger Luke Chadwick until at least the end of the season.

Chadwick is currently on loan at The Britannia Stadium until the New Year and has impressed the Championship club.

Though he was disappointed to be shipped out of Upton Park, following the club's promotion to The Premiership, Chadwick has made the most of his chance with Stoke.

The Potters are now aiming to persuade Hammers boss Alan Pardew to allow Chadwick to stay at the club for the rest of the season.

Assistant manager Jan de Koning praised the ex-Manchester United youngster and revealed the intention to keep Chadwick in the Potteries.

"It all depends on West Ham and what situation they are in at the time," said de Koning.

"But I would like to make his move here permanent and that would be best for next year.

"He has done a very good job for us and has been one of the highlights so far."
