Interest in Forest duo

Nottingham Forest have fielded interest in Marlon King and Adam Nowland.

Nottingham Forest have fielded interest in transfer-listed duo Marlon King and Adam Nowland.

King and Nowland were among five players to be put up for sale at the end of last season following Forest's relegation to League One.

Enquiries for the pair had been slow to reach Forest, but the interest has gathered pace in the past few days.

Forest boss Gary Megson has confirmed that clubs have been in touch for King and Nowland and is waiting to see if the interest firms up.

"There have been one or two enquiries for Marlon and one or two clubs have enquired about Adam as well," Megson told the club's official website.

"I'm sure that over the next couple of weeks, there will be even more interest shown in the players."

Millwall have previously expressed an interest in King, while Watford are also being linked with the striker, who undertook a spell on loan at Leeds United.

Nowland only moved to The City Ground last November, but the midfielder has not featured for the first team since Megson's appointment as manager.
