Hull City have withdrawn their bid for Leeds striker Richard Cresswell after a medical revealed an element of risk.
The 29-year-old had been expected to complete a move this week after a transfer fee and personal terms were agreed, but Hull have now decided against signing the player.
"We weren't 100% happy with the outcome," chairman Paul Duffen told Radio Humberside.
"There was an element of risk involved, which I've decided isn't where we should be, seeing as there is a big financial commitment involved."
Cresswell joined Leeds from Preston for £1.5m in 2005.
