Moggi reveals Salas exit

JUVENTUS general manager Luciano Moggi has revealed that Chilean striker Marcelo Salas will be departing the Stadio Delle Alpi this summer.

Speculation regarding the former Lazio man's future has been rife all season, with Chelsea and River Plate both being linked with the ace.

Moggi has announced that youngster Fabrizio Miccoli, who has been on loan at Perugia all season, will be returning to Juve and replacing the South American.

"For our next attack I'm anticipating only one change," revealed Moggi. "I'm going to bring in Miccoli and out is going Salas."

Salas, who was once tracked by Manchester United, has scored just two goals this term, in what has been an injury-plagued season.

Meanwhile, Birmingham City manager Steve Bruce has ruled out a swoop for the experienced striker after the club were linked with the star.
