Birmingham City are believed to have joined the race for Luton Town's in-demand star Rowan Vine.Blues boss Steve Bruce admitted his liking for the 12-goal striker at the weekend and, following an injury to Nicklas Bendtner, the club's owners David Sullivan and David Gold have reportedly sanctioned an imminent £2million move.
Bruce is in need of striking reinforcements as he aims to keep the Midlands side at the top of the Championship but the Birmingham manager could yet face competition from local rivals West Brom.
The Baggies have been linked with a £3million joint deal for Vine and his Hatters colleague Leon Barnett, but skysports.com understands that the Bedfordshire side have not accepted any new offers for their top-scorer after already shunning Cardiff last week.
"We have had interest in Rowan Vine," a club source told skysports.com.
"But as far as Luton Town's position is, we have not accepted any offer for Rowan Vine."
Norwich City have also shown interest in the former Pompey man, whilst Sunderland were erroneously reported to have signed the striker at the weekend.
