Julio Arca has revealed that he may stay at Sunderland despite the club's relegation from The Premiership.
The 25-year-old Argentinian had previously stated that he would consider a summer exit if The Black Cats went down, but his love for the club could persuade him to continue.
Nothing is certain yet, however, with Arca still mulling over his future options.
"If I have to leave, I think the fans will understand," said Arca.
"If I stay, even better for me and better for them. Nothing is decided.
"Last time we went down I signed a new contract because of the fans.
"It feels different this time but I hope the team comes back to The Premiership again."
