Camp coy over future

Lee Camp is putting thoughts of a permanent move to QPR on the back-burner.

Lee Camp is putting thoughts of a permanent move to Queens Park Rangers on the back-burner.

The goalkeeper is spending the rest of the season on loan at Loftus Road from Derby County, with his long-term future uncertain.

QPR manager John Gregory has already thrown down the gauntlet for Camp to secure a permanent contract with the club.

But, with The R's battling to stay in the Championship, the keeper is looking at the immediate target of trying to avoid relegation.

"It is important to concentrate on the job in hand," said Camp. "You can get carried away with things in the summer.

"The most important thing is for this club to pull away from the relegation zone. Then whatever happens, happens.

"I think the future is mapped out, so, hopefully, it will be an interesting one and one which brings a lot of success."

Meanwhile, QPR have released Taku Watanabe without the teenage midfielder having made a first-team appearance since joining from Crystal Palace last summer.
