The 25-year-old striker is said to have had a party at his house to celebrate Albion's promotion on Sunday evening, but insists he is happy to stay at Highfield Road and help prospective new manager Gary McAllister take them to promotion.
"I am a fan of the Baggies and I am really pleased for them to go up, especially with Wolves missing out," Hughes told the Coventry Evening Telegraph.
"But I am here for another three years unless Coventry tell me different. I am certainly not going to ask for a transfer or anything. I am here to stay and I am confident we can get it right for next season.
"We are waiting to see who is appointed as manager and we will take it from there.
"There are a lot of talented players here and hopefully we can get up there."
Hughes has had a mixed season since moving across the Midlands in a £5 million deal at the start of the season, hitting 14 goals, but has never looked the goal machine he was at The Hawthorns, where he bagged 86 goals in four years.
"It has been a disappointing season for myself but I have not had a strike partner really," Hughes admitted.
"Hopefully next season I will have a partner to work off and we will know each other inside out, but it has not been like that this season, plus the fact that I have had injuries and suspensions."
