Curtis Davies has again urged West Bromwich Albion to lower his valuation for a transfer.The centre-half has asked to quit The Baggies in order to secure a move to the Premier League, but has been priced in the region of £10million.
Davies, who has given up the West Brom captaincy, feels such a figure is 'too much' and hopes a compromise can be found.
"I still want to leave the club," Davies told the Birmingham Mail.
"At the moment I've got to stay here and if I play I've got to give 100 per cent because I'm professional.
"But I don't want to be here. It's nothing against the club or the fans, it's just the club's status.
"I need to be playing Premiership football to improve.
"The club is asking for too much money.
"They aren't quoting an asking price, although I presume it's the same as last year's and I think that's too much.
"I did well in my first year in the Premiership, but having been part of a relegated team I would have expected a price a bit less than £10million.
"I just hope someone comes up with the money that the club wants and then we can both part amicably."
