Gabor Gyepes has undergone surgery on his damaged knee ligaments.
Wolves defender Gabor Gyepes is expected to be out for at least six months after seriously damaging cruciate knee ligaments against Sheffield Wednesday last month.The 24-year-old underwent surgery on his knee earlier in the week and has admitted he has never been in so much pain before.
"I've never felt a pain like this before," Gyepes told skysports.com. "My mother travelled to England on Friday and saw me suffering.
"My team-mate Jackie McNamara had a similar injury but was back playing for the reserves after five months and my aim is the same."
However, Wolves boss Glenn Hoddle is less optimistic over the Hungarian's recovery time, believing he could possibly miss almost all of next season.
"Gabor has had his operation, which was a very big operation, and it's going to be anywhere between six and 12 months before he's back," said Hoddle.
"We wish him well and he's on the road to recovery already."
Meanwhile, Hoddle has recalled midfielder Colin Cameron from his loan spell at Millwall to cover injuries in midfield.
Cameron could be involved in Wolves' game with Coventry City at the weekend.
