Royle confirms Fuller intent

Joe Royle would like to seal the permanent signing of Ricardo Fuller.

Ipswich boss Joe Royle has confirmed that he would like to seal the permanent signing of Ricardo Fuller.

Fuller has scored twice at Portman Road in February after joining on loan for a month, and Royle is looking to seal his signature at the end of the season.

"I have read reports identifying Ricardo Fuller and I wouldn't argue with that, although I have yet to speak to Southampton about signing him on a permanent basis," he said.

Royle is also looking at trimming his squad and has confirmed that defenders Aidan Collins and Gerard Nash - currently on loan at Stockport and Southend respectively - will not be given new deals at the end of the season.

They join Dean McDonald, Adam Proudlock and Scott Mitchell on their way out of the club.

Fabian Wilnis, however, has agreed to a new one-year deal to remain at Portman Road next season.
