Bluebirds linked with buys already

FOLLOWING their promotion to Division One, Cardiff City are already being linked with a host of players to bolster their push for The Premiership.

Bluebirds manager Lennie Lawrence has already confirmed his interest in Wimbledon quartet, Nigel Reo-Coker, Damien Francis, David Connolly and Joel McAnuff.

Cardiff supremo Sam Hammam admitted straight after the play-off final success over Queens Park Rangers that he was willing to provide the finances for next season.

"Both Sam and myself have watched Wimbledon on a number of occasions this season and we know that they a number of good young kids," Lawrence confirmed.

Cardiff have also been linked with Cambridge striker Dave Kitson, along with Bristol City duo Danny Coles and Scott Murray.

One player who does looked destined for Ninian Park is Welsh international Matthew Jones (pictured).

The 22-year-old is available on a free transfer from Leicester City and Lawrence is believed to be preparing a bid for Jones.
