Argyle four in PFA side

PLYMOUTH ARGYLE had four players in the Division Three PFA team of the season.

Goalkeeper Romain Larrieu, defenders Paul Wotton and Graham Coughlan and midfielder David Friio (pictured) all won a place in the representative XI in reward for Paul Sturrock's side's superb season which seems sure to end in the division championship next week.

Second place Luton Town, whose boss Joe Kinnear threatened to boycott the event after rumours that none of his players were in the side, had much-touted left back Matthew Taylor as their lone representative.

Elsewhere, veteran Peter Beagrie was one of two Scunthorpe United players in the side along with former West Ham man Lee Hodges.

Mansfield Town striker Chris Greenacre, alongside team-mate Lee Williamson, earned one of the striking berths with the other going to 'The Duke' Nathan Ellington for his services to Bristol Rovers ahead of his deadline day switch to Wigan Athletic.
