R's see off Pilgrims

QPR won the battle of the newly-promoted teams with a 3-2 win over Plymouth.

QPR won the battle of the newly-promoted teams with a 3-2 win over Plymouth Argyle at Loftus Road.

In windy conditions David Friio opened the scoring for the visitors with a near post glancing header.

The home side restored parity after 29 minutes when Paul Furlong netted his first goal of the day.

Furlong's second put The R's ahead for the first time when he showed good speed to clip the ball into the bet.

Kevin Gallen added a third, but there was still time for Marino Keith to pull one back.

The win pulls QPR away from the drop zone while high-flying Argyle fall to their second loss of the season.
