Pilgrims bring in trio

Plymouth have signed Kevin Gallen and Hungarian duo Peter Halmosi and Krisztian Timar.

Plymouth have bolstered their squad with the signings of Kevin Gallen and Hungarian duo Peter Halmosi and Krisztian Timar.

Halmosi has arrived on loan from Debrecen with a view to a permanent move in the summer.

Ferencvaros defender Timar has also signed a loan deal until the end of the season at Home Park after impressing on trial last week.

Gallen has also signed a loan deal at Plymouth to link up with Ian Holloway again after working with him while he was in charge of Queens Park Rangers.

Holloway is delighted to draft in Gallen, who is out of contract at Rangers in the summer.

"Kevin is one of the best players I have ever worked with and I've got him from now until the end of the season," Holloway told the club's official website.

"He was my captain and hardly ever missed a game when I was at QPR.

"I thought he covered a lot of options for us while I try to buy the other type of striker that I need - a big, strong fellow who can head things."
