Green still struggling

Crystal Palace midfielder Stuart Green is still struggling with his shoulder problem.

Crystal Palace are likely to have to contend without Stuart Green for the bulk of the remainder of the season.

The midfielder dislocated his shoulder against Sunderland on 30th January and his progress has been slow.

Palace still have an outside chance of claiming a play-off berth, but the club have no intention of taking any risks with the former Hull man.

"You have to do the right thing, and not rush players back too early," Palace physio Paul Caton told the club's website.

"You want to give the managers as many players as possible, but it is not right to send players back too soon.

"Stuart is two-and-a-half weeks into his rehabilitation. He is making excellent progress, but it is still early days.

"We will see the surgeon again in three-and-a-half weeks, and I would think we are looking at another six weeks before he is back playing, so he might make the last few games of the season."
