Virgo leaves Sky Blues

Coventry's loan signing Adam Virgo has returned to Celtic for treatment.

Coventry's loan signing Adam Virgo has returned to Celtic for treatment on his cruciate knee ligament problem.

Sky Blues boss Micky Adams has confirmed that the versatile 23-year-old has returned to Scotland for treatment on the injury he picked up in the 1-0 defeat against Cardiff.

Virgo was signed on a one-year loan deal from the Scottish champions in the summer and he is due to return to The Ricoh Arena once he recovers from injury.

"With that type of long term injury there is very little that we can do for him here until he can run again so he has gone back to Celtic," said Adams.

"But as soon as he is running again, which will hopefully be later this year or early next year, we will get him back down here."
