Foxes seal Douglas deal

Leicester have tied up the signing of Scotland goalkeeper Rab Douglas.

Leicester have tied up the signing of Scotland goalkeeper Rab Douglas.

Douglas has inked a three-year deal at the Walkers Stadium after leaving Celtic.

The 33-year-old quit Celtic at the end of the season after seeing out his contract at Parkhead.

Douglas will help fill the void left by Ian Walker's departure from Leicester at the end of last season.

Foxes boss Craig Levein was delighted to land Douglas.

"Rab is an international goalkeeper who has played many games in high pressure situations in front of massive crowds," Levein told the club's official website.

"He is just the type of person who I think will help to settle the defence next season.

"He has done it up in Scotland and he wants to prove himself down here.

"I am happy to have him on board. I think the fact that we have been able to sign him sends a message out to our supporters that we mean business this coming season."
