Colgan in injury fear

Dundee United could be without Nick Colgan for the rest of the season.

Dundee United could be without on-loan goalkeeper Nick Colgan for the rest of the season.

Colgan has made two appearances for the SPL club since he signed on loan from Barnsley during the January transfer window.

But the 31-year-old is being hampered by a knee injury which prevented him from being on the bench against Motherwell last weekend.

Terrors boss Ian McCall fears Colgan will not be able to recover his fitness before the campaign is finished.

If that is the case, McCall will request dispensation from The Scottish Football Association to sign a replacement for Colgan.

"Colgan has got tendinitis in a knee and we may have to look at another keeper," said McCall.

"We need cover for Tony Bullock because we would only have two keepers for three teams."
