Brandon joins Seasiders

Huddersfield's Chris Brandon has joined Blackpool on loan until the end of the season.

Huddersfield's Chris Brandon has joined Blackpool on loan until the end of the season.

The 30-year-old has struggled to win a place in the starting line up at The Galpharm Stadium after recently returning from an Achilles injury.

The former Chesterfield man had to settle for a place on the substitutes' bench for the recent derby win over Bradford, but was omitted from the squad altogether for last week's draw at Carlisle.

He scored one goal in his 17 starts for Town this season and also made six appearances as a substitute.

Brandon is the second Huddersfield player to join Simon Grayson's side this season, after goalkeeper Paul Rachubka joined The Seasiders in January on loan.

Meanwhile, Robbie Williams has completed his loan switch from Barnsley to Bloomsfield Road.

The 22-year-old, who has made 17 first team appearances for The Tykes this season, will stay with the League One play-off chasers until the end of the season.
