Camara sure of Leeds switch

LEEDS target Zoumana Camara has admitted he is almost certain to move to Elland Road and that he is excited at the prospect of playing in England.

Camara is expected to complete a season-long loan switch to Leeds in the next few days after a quick swoop from Whites boss Peter Reid.

The former Internazionale and Marseille ace admitted he was happy to stay at Lens, but the club did not want to keep him and that he was excited by the challenge ahead at Leeds

"Logically, I should have stayed with Lens, or I wanted to stay," Camara told France Football.

"Then, recently, Leeds said they wanted me. The English club made a proposition to Lens. The French officials told me it was up to me to take a decision.

"They didn't try to keep me; I am happy to join a great English club.

"On financial and sport levels, it will be better for me.

"I visited Leeds for two days. I visited the facilities, Elland Road stadium, which is magnificent. I also had a long talk with coach Peter Reid.

"I think I will be a first team-member, if not I would not have come here. I will have to fight.

"Leeds has almost the best young players in the country. The coach has already talked to me about the first match of the season against Newcastle.

"I am really eager for the season to start. Playing against Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool will be crazy."
