Luton Town have given midfielders Gary Mills and Justin Cochrane trials with the club.

Cochrane scored on his debut for The Hatters' reserves in their 1-1 draw with Stevenage Borough, rounding off a victorious season for the team in the Pontins Holiday Combination.

The 24-year-old, who has had spells with Gillingham and Crewe Alexandra, starred in the team with Mills (pictured), also 24, who has just been released from his contract with League Two's Rushden & Diamonds.

Mills suffered a horrific leg injury for Rushden against Oxford United earlier this season and is trying to resurrect his career at Kenilworth Road.

Meanwhile, defender Markus Heikkinen received Luton's Player of the Year award in his first season since moving to join Mike Newell's side from Aberdeen.

The Hatters who are tenth in The Championship face Burnley at Turf Moor in their last game of the season.
