Second Robin departs

Bristol City have allowed a second youngster to depart on loan.

Bristol City have allowed a second youngster to depart on loan with Stephen Gillespie joining Lee Miller out of the exit door.

Gillespie, formerly of Liverpool, is highly-rated by Cheltenham and boss John Ward is hoping the 19-year-old can contribute during his time at Whaddon Road.

"I think Steven is a young player with a future," explained Ward to the club's official website.

"He is a goal-scorer, he is sharp around the last 25 yards of the pitch and he's a hard-working young player as well.

"If he can work very hard for the team and finish off in the last 25 yards we will see a good young player who can help us out."

Meanwhile, Miller, who joined Hearts until the end of the season last week, has revealed John Robertson was a big influence in his decision.

"I have got a lot of respect for John Robertson as a player and a coach," explained Miller to Hearts News.

"I spoke to him a good while back, he told me what his plans for the future are and they sounded really good. I was impressed by that.

"Hearts have good players and are a massive club - we will see how the loan period goes."
