County want Dadi

Notts County are keen on signing striker Eugene Dadi from Nottingham Forest.

Notts County boss Gudjon Thordarson has revealed that he is keen to sign Nottingham Forest striker Eugene Dadi.

The 32-year-old has failed to take his opportunities at the City Ground since his move from Tranmere in the summer, not scoring in any of his six league appearances this season.

However, Thordarson is known to be a big admirer of the forward, and is keen to hear a decision from officials at County's local rivals.

"I will not be hanging around and I have spoken to other players so they have to make up their minds," he told the Nottingham Evening Post.

"Eugene is a powerful lad with good experience and is a player who can do the job we are after. But I am not going to wait longer than this week because I need players in before Saturday."

Thordarson is still waiting to hear from Stoke about his interest in experienced front man Bruce Dyer. He had been hopeful of at least bringing the 30-year-old in on loan, but negotiations now seem to have stalled.
