Tyson KO for Forest

Nottingham Forest striker Nathan Tyson faces up to four months out of action.

Nottingham Forest striker Nathan Tyson faces up to four months out of action.

The former Wycombe star picked up a knee injury during Forest's 1-0 win over Bradford last weekend.

Scans have shown that Tyson has sustained medial ligament damage to his knee.

Forest boss Colin Calderwood admitted he was expecting Tyson to be sidelined for even longer than four months.

"There's no operation required and there's no other damage to anything else in or around his knee," Calderwood told the club's official website.

"But it's still a major injury and a big blow to Nathan.

"It's better than we feared because he doesn't require surgery and in the long term his knee will be sound."
