Turner rejects Parry talk

HEREFORD UNITED manager Graham Turner has quashed rumours that Paul Parry is on the verge of a move to Yeovil Town.

The 23-year old, who is on the transfer list, has been linked with a switch to Huish Park, with the Division Three side ready to pay a five-figure fee for his services.

Turner has guided his Hereford side to the top of the Conference table and will be loathed to lose a player who has come through the ranks at Edgar Street.

"The club does not need to sell players at the moment to survive," insisted the Bulls manager.

"We might even be looking to add to the squad bearing in mind our excellent start."

Yeovil boss Gary Johnson has admitted his interest in Parry but it appears any deal is still some way off completion.

The former Latvia manager is still looking for a replacement for the departed Michael McIndoe and Parry may be the ideal solution.
