Grimsby Town have bolstered their squad by swooping for two new strikers on loan.

The Mariners have landed Paul Robinson from Tranmere Rovers - after a successful trial spell - and Chris Williams from Stockport County.

Robinson, 20, and Williams, 19, have both penned permanent deals and boss Russell Slade will hope the pair can pep up his attacking options after a mediocre start to the season.

The Humberside outfit currently lie 15th after taking seven points from their opening six games.

The duo have both been registered in time to play a part in Grimsby's clash against Rochdale on Saturday.
