Shakers land Warrington

Bury have sealed the loan signing of Andy Warrington until the end of the season.

Bury have sealed the loan signing of Andy Warrington until the end of the season.

The Doncaster goalkeeper previously enjoyed a spell at Gigg Lane back in December, when he started two games for manager Chris Casper's first team.

On returning to Doncaster he failed to dislodge Ben Smith from between the posts, with Rovers boss Sean O'Driscoll having now sanctioned Warrington's departure for a second time this season.

Warrington has made over 200 appearances for Doncaster since joining the club in 1999 but it would appear his long-term future may lie elsewhere.

The experienced keeper's time at Doncaster took a turn for the worse when he broke his leg against Manchester City in September 2005 but now fully recovered, he is hoping to rejuvenate his career at Bury.
