Millwall defender Zak Whitbread faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines through injury. The former Liverpool youngster has picked up a nasty groin injury and is expected to be sidelined for up to six weeks.
The news is a blow for Lions boss Willie Donachie as he prepares for the busy run of games over the festive period.
"Zak Whitbread has been told to rest for six weeks with a hairline fracture in the groin area," Donachie told the club's official website.
Better news on the injury front for Donachie is the return to fitness of Ben May after a groin problem.
May could be back in the squad for this weekend's clash with Northampton having missed the last two games.
