Vale looking for a loan

Port Vale will look to sign a loan player following Robin Hulbert's injury setback.

Port Vale manager Martin Foyle will look to sign a loan player following a fresh injury blow to Robin Hulbert.

The former Swindon Town, Bristol City and Telford United player could miss the rest of the season after suffering a recurrence of a thigh injury.

The 25-year-old was making his first appearance in six weeks during Saturday's 2-0 win over Midlands rivals Walsall before breaking down again with his continuing leg muscle problem.

With Thursday's Football League transfer deadline looming, Foyle is aiming to find new faces for the League One season run-in.

"I am bitterly disappointed," Foyle told The Sentinel.

"Robin is a person who would run through brick walls for you, but his thigh has gone again, so that is him for the season.

"I don't think we will have a season like this again [for injuries]. It has been frustrating and sometimes not been that enjoyable."
