Johnson agrees two-year deal

Midfielder Bradley Johnson has agreed a new two-year contract at Northampton.

Bradley Johnson has agreed a two-year contract at Northampton, committing his future to the club until 2009.

The 19-year-old midfielder, who joined from Cambridge United in 2005, has forced his way into manager Stuart Gray's plans this year after a spell at non-league Stevenage earlier in the season.

"We are delighted that Bradley has signed this contract," Gray told the club's official website.

"He has come into the side and done really well. He is a young player who is still learning the game, but he has a lot of ability and a very good attitude.

"He has a willingness to learn and we are very pleased that he will be here for at least the next two years.

"Goal-scoring, left-footed midfielders of Bradley's age are not easy to come by and we are very pleased we have been able to agree terms."
