McPhee eyes Swindon deal

Chris McPhee has spoken of his desire to join Swindon on a permanent basis.

Chris McPhee has spoken of his desire to join Swindon after being informed he is surplus to requirements at Brighton.

The 23-year-old striker was one of four players released at the end of the season and is now on the lookout for new employers.

McPhee spent the close of the previous campaign at the County Ground, and impressed, but his spell at the relegated outfit was under the stewardship of then manager Iffy Onuora.

Dennis Wise is now at the helm and McPhee remains hopeful that he too will be eager to sign him on a permanent basis.

''Iffy was delighted with my performances and wanted to sign me,'' said McPhee.

''I hope things will get sorted out with Swindon as I had a great time on loan.

''I'm not pinning all my hopes on Swindon. I've got other options in the pipeline, mostly through interested league clubs.''
