Jones rejects Harriers

Kidderminster Harriers have failed to sign Leyton Orient defender Billy Jones.

Kidderminster Harriers have failed to sign defender Billy Jones from League Two rivals Leyton Orient.

The 21 year-old, whose contract at Brisbane Road expires in the summer, failed to agree personal terms with the Aggborough club.

Jones will remain with the East London club, despite being well down the pecking order in Martin Ling's first team.

"We agreed with Kidderminster that they could sign Billy," Ling told the club's official website.

"He's not featured for us this season and the lad needs a fresh start.

"It's a shame as it would have been a good chance for Billy to continue his career at this level, but he couldn't agree a deal with them."

The player also spent time on trial with League One club Milton Keynes Dons and non-league Gravesend & Northfleet earlier this season.
