The Irish ace broke two bones in his leg after a clash with Bournemouth's Wade Elliott early in the game, but Robins boss Roy Evans has refused to blame Elliott for the injury.
"I have told the lad to keep his chin up because it could have happened to anybody," said Evans.
"O'Halloran lost control of the ball with his first touch and the two of them just stretched into a tackle.
"It was just one of those things that happen in football and there is no point in pointing fingers at anyone."
