Bradford have signed Aaron Wilbraham on loan from MK Dons for a month.
Bradford have moved to compensate for Dean Windass's five-match suspension by signing Aaron Wilbraham on loan from MK Dons.The former Hull and Stockport striker turned down a similar move to Peterborough just two weeks ago but his inability to impress at The National Hockey Stadium has seen him join The Bantams for a month.
Wilbraham has scored just three goals during the current campaign and will look to kick-start his season at Valley Parade as Windass begins a five-match ban for verbally abusing a match official.
The 26-year-old only joined The Dons in the summer but Bradford boss Colin Todd is looking for Wilbraham to make more of an impact in Yorkshire as he provides a further option alongside Steve Claridge and Danny Cadamarteri.
"I am not putting him under any pressure to score but he is different from what we have got," Todd told the club's official website.
"He is coming to lead the line, link up with others and hopefully the goals will come. It gives us another option.
"I've spoken to people at Hull who have given him a good reference and though things haven't panned out for him at Milton Keynes Dons he now has the chance to put himself on display."
Strangely Wilbraham's last appearance was against Bradford on Saturday, where he spent 45 minutes in goal for The Dons after Matt Baker's injury and conceded just one goal as Danny Wilson's side won 2-1.
