Sedgwick happy with Millers

Rotherham United winger Chris Sedgwick has insisted he is happy at Millmoor.

Rotherham United winger Chris Sedgwick has insisted he is happy at Millmoor.

The 24-year-old has been the subject of interest from a number of clubs over the past 18 months, but Preston are now looking to seal his signature.

North End have had a couple of bids rejected and Sedgwick insists he has not held talks with them.

"There has been a lot of speculation but until I am told anything else I am a Rotherham United player," he told the club's website.

"I haven't spoken to Preston at all, I've only read the rumours in the newspapers.

"I am happy to stay here at Millmoor, I wouldn't have signed a new contract recently if I wasn't happy.

"If the club want to sell me then I will speak to Preston but that won't mean I will be leaving as I would want a better financial deal than my current one as it would be a big upheaval if I did move.

"Unless that happens I will be staying at Rotherham and as I have said, I would be happy to do so even when you think we could be relegated."
