Millers handed Keane blow

Rotherham midfielder Michael Keane will be on the sidelines for around seven weeks.

Rotherham midfielder Michael Keane will be on the sidelines for around seven weeks after undergoing surgery for a hernia problem.

The 22-year-old has featured extensively for The Millers this season but is now expected to miss the rest of 2005 with the injury.

"It's not the usual type of hernia problem, it's more related to the bowel and it has been bothering Michael for a while now," club physio Denis Circuit told the club's official website.

"He underwent the operation yesterday so all being well he should be out again today (Friday) but he will obviously be out of action for a few weeks."

Mick Harford's men host Colchester on Saturday and will also be without Barry Conlon and Gregor Robertson, although Scott Minto could make a return to first team action.
