Millers too strong for Posh

Holmes stars in Millers win

Rotherham made home advantage count as they beat Peterborough 3-1 at Millmoor. Mark Robins' side were impressive in defeat against Yorkshire neighbours Sheffield Wednesday in midweek, but on Sunday a good result accompanied a lively display. Within 35 minutes Rotherham were in total control, largely thanks to another accomplished display from new boy Derek Holmes. The former Carlisle front man opened the scoring in only the 8th minute, before on 33 minutes, Chris O'Grady doubled their advantage. Just two minutes later and the game was put beyond any doubt when Holmes grabbed his second of the afternoon, which rendered Aaron McLean's late consolation meaningless.
