Bees release Beadle

BRENTFORD have released Peter Beadle with the experienced striker tipped to sign for Conference club Barnet.

Beadle signed a one-month contract with The Bees ahead of the Division Two kick-off in August but endured an inauspicious spell in West London.

The 31-year-old was sent off just 12 minutes into his Bees bow against Tranmere and he failed to make another appearance for the club.

He injured his ankle in training after his dismissal and he was unable to recover in time to force his way back into Wally Downes's plans.

The Bees boss has opted not to extend Beadle's stay at Griffin Park, after he was signed on a free transfer following his departure from Bristol City.

Beadle is now expected to link up with Barnet in the Nationwide Conference as he seeks to put his career back on track.
