O'Connor blow for Bees

Brentford striker Kevin O'Connor has been ruled out of action for a month.

Brentford striker Kevin O'Connor has been ruled out of action for a month.

Bees boss Martin Allen confirmed that the Irishman, who has bagged six goals this term, would miss the next four weeks because of a broken foot.

"Kevin O'Connor has a fracture in his foot and will be out for at least one month," Allen told the club's website.

"He has had several scans and we found out what we feared.

"Of course this is not good news for him as he will be out for at least one month. But this presents the opportunity to other people to show their worth."

Allen confirmed Icelander Oli Skulason should be back from his thigh problem next week.
