Wrexham have re-signed Chris Llewellyn on a free transfer from Hartlepool United.

Wrexham have re-signed Chris Llewellyn on a free transfer from Hartlepool United.

Llewellyn left The Racecourse Ground to join Pools last summer and made 32 appearances for the North East club.

But he has cancelled his contract at Victoria Park and is delighted to secure a return to the Welsh outfit.

"It's good to be back," Llewellyn told the club's official website. "I would though like to assure fans that I'm coming back to help the club win promotion.

"I wouldn't be returning if I didn't believe we had a good chance this season."

During his first spell with The Dragons, the midfielder scored 20 goals in 106 appearances over two years.

In a further boost, Wrexham defender Shaun Pejic has pledged his future to the League Two side by signing a new 12-month contract.

Pejic has spent his entire career with the club and has made over 130 appearances for Denis Smith's side.

Meanwhile, Jamie Reed has signed his first professional contract with Wrexham

The young striker has inked a one-year deal at The Racecourse Ground.
