Lucas Jutkiewicz opened the scoring for Swindon at The Bescot Stadium after 23 minutes, and Christian Roberts (pictured) then secured the victory with a 69th minute penalty.

Swindon's success also lifted them up to second, after Lincoln were surprisingly hammered 4-1 by Chester.

Roberto Martinez (20), Jonathan Walters (54), Gregg Blundell (76) and Laurence Wilson (82) all found the target as Chester ran riot, while Nat Brown netted for Lincoln (64).

Tommy Mooney had to rescue a 1-1 draw for Wycombe against Barnet, as his 80th minute strike cancelled out Liam Hatch's opener (60).

Milton Keynes beat Accrington 4-3 in a thrilling game at The Fraser Eagle Stadium to climb up to third.

Izale McLeod (16), Aaron Wilbraham (54 and 58) and Sean O'Hanlon (81) did the damage for The Dons, while Andy Todd (39), Paul Mullin (43) and Andrew Mangan (83) got their names on the scoresheet for Stanley.

Peterborough continued their excellent form with a 1-0 victory at Rochdale, although Aaron McLean's winner did not arrive until the 73rd minute.

Macclesfield claimed their second win inside four days with a 2-1 victory at Notts County.

Colin Heath (25) broke the deadlock for Paul Ince's side and Kevin McIntyre grabbed a second from the penalty spot eight minutes later, before Daniel Martin scored an injury time consolation for County.

Stockport thumped Darlington 5-2 but had to come from behind after Martin Smith had struck for The Quakers after seven minutes.

Tesfaye Bramble (18 and 36) bagged a brace for Stockport, while Adam Proudlock (24), Tony Dinning (32) and Stephen Gleeson (62) also got in on the act. Clark Keltie scored a penalty for Darlington after 40 minutes to briefly halt the onslaught.

Boston made a mockery of their lowly league position with a 4-0 victory over Wrexham. Anthony Elding (22 and 83) and Drewe Broughton (48 and 69) shared the goals.

Stevland Angus fired Torquay ahead after just two minutes at Hereford, but The Bulls hit back through Alexandre Jeannin (33) to earn a 1-1 draw.

Hartlepool moved into the top eight by beating Bristol Rovers 2-0, with Ben Clark (79) and Darryl Duffy (90) finding the net.

Martin Paterson was the hero at Blundell Park with two goals (38 and 72) as Grimsby edged out Shrewsbury 2-1. Michael Symes had equalised for The Shrews after 53 minutes.

Bury returned to winning ways after three consecutive league defeats with a 2-0 victory at Mansfield.

Marc Pugh (18) set The Shakers on track for three points and Glynn Hurst added a second six minutes after half time.
