Boston United's bid to beat the drop from League Two has been handed a boost with the loan acquisition of Michael Proctor.The Hartlepool striker arrives at York Street on an initial one-month loan having fallen down the striking pecking order at Victoria Park.
Boston boss Steve Evans is delighted with his capture of the former Sunderland and Rotherham front-man, offering his thanks to his Hartlepool counterpart Danny Wilson for sanctioning his departure.
"I am delighted that Michael has agreed to spend some time with us," Evans told the club's official website.
"I have tried to sign the boy on a couple of occasions, so I am pleased to say perseverance has prevailed in this instance.
"I first contacted Danny Wilson last week and was eventually given permission to speak to the player late on Thursday afternoon. I am delighted those talks concluded with the player confirming he would be willing and ready to ply his trade for Boston United.
"I indeed must recognise and give thanks to Hartlepool United for the way that they have conducted their business and their huge assistance in making the loan move for Michael Proctor possible."
